Dr. Courtney Mercier
Veterinarian
Dr. Mercier is one of our two fabulous DVMs here at Unleashed Pet Care! She was born and raised in Farmington Hills, MI. A fun fact about her is that she is a triplet with older siblings that are identical twins! Dr. Mercier was always playing sports to keep up with her 4 brothers; to this day her hobbies include all sports, with golf and pickle-ball being her favorites. She had always wanted to be a veterinarian since she was young. Dr. Mercier went out to Arizona to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian, where she adopted her pride and joy, Sadie. Sadie is an Australian shepherd/border-collie mix and loves to come to work with Mom. Dr. Mercier’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is the human-animal bond and the important role pets play in the family; she wants to preserve that bond through good care and annual checkups to help pets live a long, happy life.

Brenda is one of our fabulous LVTs here at Unleashed Pet Care! Brenda started her career as a Medical Lab Tech more than 40 years ago. A diagnosis of hyperparathyroidism in one of her own dogs led to her growing interest in Veterinary Medicine. After obtaining her Veterinary Technician license, Brenda went to work for another wonderful clinic where she honed in her skills and grew as a Technician. It was there where she met and began to work with Dr. Kari Nugent. Fast forward several years, and Brenda joined the team at Unleashed Pet Care in 2021! Brenda continues to work in both human and Veterinary Medicine where the lab holds a special place in her heart. Brenda and her husband currently share their household with 3 Beagles and a Dachshund. She enjoys photography, craft beer, University of Michigan sports, and spending time with friends and family.

Sherry is one of our wonderful Client Service Representatives here at Unleashed Pet Care! A lifelong lover of animals, Sherry was blessed to grow up with and spoil dogs, cats and horses. After many years as a happy client of Unleashed Pet Care and watching the fledgling business grow, Sherry jumped at the opportunity to join our team of amazing and caring professionals as her “retirement” job. We are fortunate to have her sharing her skills collected over the course of her career in business and IT, joined with her love of animals to assist Unleashed Pet Care in providing excellent professional and compassionate care to pets and their owners through all stages of life. The icing on top for Sherry is getting to see all of the pets and to love on many of them.
